Silver spring is closer....
I suggested Rockville because it seemed that you wanted something nice. See up thread about a new place there. If you just want decent food, eli's is fine

Thank you
I just read all 22 pages. I'm going with 7 kids so I think we will stay local and eat at. Eli's every night!
District Bistro is closed right now.
I was planning on booking hotel on Priceline but after reading I see I can be hit with $40 parking fee .
I would have liked a pool and I see a lot of hotels don't have that.
I wanted to spend $100 a room . On priceline I can usually get $75 plus taxes for 3.5 star.
Is it crazy to book in Washington this way? Any other ideas where I should try first?
I'm only preferred Starwood so would get a regular room for 7000. Is that better?

You can also try staying in silver spring and taking the metro. It is very nice and clean

I'm looking into going with my wife & 1 year old baby to DC for this chal hamoed (sukkos) any advice offered would be really appreciated!
Where should we sleep,  I would preferably book with points,  I have 10k Ihg but I have more than enough UR points to transfer from, I have like 25k Marriott though I should get another 70k now and I have a free night with Marriott (cat 1-4)  I would also consider Ihg paying so that I can score my "Ihg into the nights" challenge http://forums.dansdeals.com/index.php?topic=44838.0
