I sold 5 tickets to someone with a 50 minute connection in CLT.  I couldn't breathe from the time they took off until they landed in CLT. I guaranteed them they would make the flight. Thank god they made it.

At first UA wouldn't sell me the ticket.  Only once I told them that I understood that there was a really short connection and that there were no other flights until the next day would they sell it to me.

how about this connection. landing in DCA at1:35 pm, i have a flight to israel via JFK leaving IAD at 4:55pm. will i make the connection. flight to DCA was booked with avios. flight to israel is a paid flight on delta.

Definitely playing with fire. It's enough time, but... if your first flight is delayed/canceled/hijacked, nobody owes you anything for missing your second flight.
