Advice is needed

I will fly from Beijing-NNL(stop over)-BOS on AA award ticket on Aug 19. Now thing changes, I have to fly back from HNL (Aug 20) earlier than I plan. I could not find saver reward on Aug 20 at all. What is my option now? I know that I can buy one way ticket from HNL to BOS, or get a one way regular reward ticket. Can I use my ticket to stand by?

Search for alternate routes from HNL- BOS you may find availability. Did you check to see if HA has availability?

Can AA miles be used on HA airlines?

Yes, and as long as you stick to the same departure city and destination there are no change fees, so you can route via LAX, SFO and NYC etc.
