Citi AA signup bonus 50K, 75K, or even 100K??!!

I can tell from experience: 1) that closed cards do qualify after 6 month. 2) non-closed cards will never get re-approved even after a year. on 18-24 month i cannot tell, because I never waited that long before reapplying. 3) that their system is set up to reject any application regardless of the amount of points that is in the application.

#1 is a YMMV thing, and #2 is simply wrong. #3 is what matters to me, thanks.

If I had the time and energy, I'd point you to about 16 different examples on that FT thread indicating the card does not have to be closed prior to re-applying. (It's also been confirmed by a number of other people here on DDF if you care to search.)

If I have taken advantage of personal Citi AA Visa for 75 K miles, 1 month back, can I take advantage of 50k miles personal  citi AA VISA or personal citi AA AMEX ( I have never applied ever for Citi Amex personal AA card) or should be waiting for certain period. Also I have not canceled my personal VISA Citi AAcard yet, but collected 75k bonus miles.

I can confirm that you can have an open aa card and still get approved for an additional one (same flavor), for me i waited about 24 months but in the good old days i did it in much less

I got a weird rejection letter for the business card, saying that they won't approve it because they no longer carry the card. Makes no sense to me, seeing that the card is still available on their own website.

Called them a handful of times in the past couple months. They've been giving me a hard time, asking me to prove my business is at my address. I spent 40 bucks on getting a DBA and faxed it, they say they didn't get the fax. I told them right before yom tov that I'd fax it again, then I got this weird letter... I gotta say, I'm tired of fighting for the card.
