This may surprise you, but you might not need to close the card. Just get an additional one.

chase checking account AND a freedom card, yes.

Just tried a 2bm for this card and the dividend wmc, the dividend app went through but i'm getting an error for this card and the app won't go through.

Wow. I just got both cards, I really wasn't expecting that as I got an error on the AA app.
The $150 statement credit is only for AA purchases. Is there a way to get this without actually buying a ticket?

Btw don't bother applying for this card if you're a beginner I was denied because I only had two cards on my credit history and a csr told me for this card they want to see at least 3-4

Yes, but the 75k is dead, she'll have to sign up for the current 50k offer.

BTW a heads up for people with poor credit, the Visa is a Signature card and it has a minimum line of $5K so if you don't think you're that credit worthy go for the AMEX.
