Back in November I decided to try doing a 2BM for the Citi AA cards. It had been around 16 months since I had last applied. I even called up specifically before to ask them if I was eligible for the card since I'd previously had it. I got automatically denied for both cards. This was my first time getting denied and I wasn't too happy about it. I knew I was taking a chance and probably should have waited longer. To make a long story short I called up Recon and Citi Customer service and was getting nowhere. My reason for denial was that I had had the card previously. Citi customer care said there's no reason I can't have the card again. Obviously they don't know the "rules". But I kept complaining that I only applied because I was told I could and that I was only denied for having the card before and no other reason. I wanted the credit pull off my account. Citi made a whole case about it but I never heard back from them. I called in numerous times and was told to wait. This was around the last week in November. A week ago while I was in Israel I get an email that my Citi card has been approved! Granted it was only one of my 2 applications but I am happy nonetheless. Better than nothing!!!
