can anyone confirm applying for a second aa biz card before 18 months and if yes how long before apps

Looks like Citi is cracking down

Just applied for 2BM for the wife AA VISA/AMEX. Both were pending review and we only got an email with APPid for the Visa and were asked to call. Called in and got approved on the Visa for 10K. Was about to call about the Amex but decided to read FT citi thread for the last 2-3 days. Apparently this is happening to quite a few people. When they call in about second card its denied by REP because its a duplicate product. I'm going to wait it out and hope that the Amex will slip through...just wanted to warn anyone here about calling for the second card

This is terrible. How dare Citi ruin the citi 2bm! Please let us know what happens.

Just read the Flyertalk thread you referenced. This is the worst thing to happen since Amex made these new rules. Perhaps we are in the wrong profession

Seems like that may be risky business. Maybe do the Hilton and AA. From the FT thread it would seem the only ppl who go both in the past few days are those who got instant approval. So annoyed cause was about to do a 2bm.

Well that's a waste of a 2nd pull. You can't get 3 citi cards at the same time.

Same here. I just wanted to do the wifes first as I have a lot of spend to meet. I'm going to wait a few days before pulling the trigger
