Pulled a bait and switch. After being instantly approved for a WMC Gold with the 30k + Amex with 50k, I applied for the Visa. When I got the " we are considering your application" message for the visa, I called recon. I told them I didn't want the MC I was approved for, instead I want the Visa and the Amex. After some back and forth I got approved for the Amex+Visa.

I checked my Experian and only 1 pull for the 2BM and the single Visa app.

yep. The point was to do a 2bm and upon 2 instant approvals, to throw a 3rd in knowing it will get declined, and then calling citi

when i'm logged in my citi aadvantage card (MC), i see an ad on the side for 25k offer for the AMEX. says something like "now that you already have a card, get another one for added benefits... AF is waived as long as you keep your old card"...
anyone do this? can it be done within 90 days of a a biz approval?

What does that mean? You were declined, and then got reconsidered through chat?

I got 2 AA 50's 65 days ago. I want to apply for the business now. Do you think I can also get the AA gold 30k as it is a different product from the reg. 50k?

I think what was meant was what just happened to me 3 days ago . On first app a live chat version came on automatically and approved me with moving CL

On second app I went to app status IIRC and then a chat applet opened and they wanted to move CL and open me with 6100 plus the moved CL .

I told them $6100 was enough , and was approved for that one also. This was with a 2BM

Citi pretty cutting edge lately.

Like PETERP said probably approved via chat. Citi has been doing that for ages.

But yes please elaborate was this person approved for any other Platinum level cards recently. Was this a 2BM, 3BM?

Just throwing this out there: now that we have indications that Citi considers the WMC Gold AA 30k a different card, what do you guys think of trying it despite just recently (4 months ago) doing the AA Visa and Amex 50k 2BM?

The question is how about 2bm Bus + personal MC?
