Author Topic: Citi AA signup bonus 50K, 75K, or even 100K??!! (Read 592599 times)

So, I tried doing the bait and switch yesterday...
Are ppl still having luck with that?
It bitched up for me... They right away accepted me for the
Mc but not for the visa... Not sure why cause don't have any previous citi cards and don't usually have prob getting accepted.. (Just in case I get it improved I applied for Amex too.. But was declined obviously there too...)
Now they saying was declined for too many apps in one day.. And say there is no such thing as reconsideration... Tried three times already...
Anyone have any luck /ideas?

Its alive.
The 30K offer is used when making a 2BM. Since Citi won't approve the 50K offer twice simultaneously, the 30K offer is used to obtain a third approval, and then have it replaced with the second 50K application which would have initially been declined.

Application 1 for 50K: Gets approved on its own merits.
Application 2 for 50K: Gets declined due to multiple applications.
Application 3 for 30K: Gets accepted (usually with recon), and then get recon to approve Application 2 instead of Application 3.
This way you wind up with 100K and not just 80K.
