Please verify what the bonus status is .

If it was less then 60 days I would be surprised they approved a 3rd app , more then 60 I doubt the old app was still alive.

book a fully refundable ticket and cancel after the statement posts.

Be Very Careful
The new website has a refundable tab which includes "exchangeable " tickets.

I had a lot of phone time before I fought that one off
Make sure it is fully refundable for money back!

All plat cards so I don't think they'll work with a 2bm.

Not so good in the end. All those links are plat. which would defeat the purpose, as for the 2bm to work they need to be two different products.

Citibank
This was interesting. I had applied for both the American Airlines business card and the personal ThankYou Preferred card. I asked first about the AA card, which was quickly approved without fuss. For the personal card, though, I was told that they cannot approve two cards in one day. Huh? This is apparently a new Citibank rule as of a week or so ago. Anyway, she said to call back in a day or two. I called back on Sunday and was approved. They also confirmed the 6K bonus and 5X points on certain purchases. Sweet! Citi never mentioned other inquiries.

Idk.. I called at least ten times already and they keep saying they can't approve two apps that were sent in the same day... Even a week later... And once it's declined it's dead. I would have to send in new app...
(I tried the bait and switch... Only got accepted for gold mc...)
Anyone know how long to wait before realpying for Amex/visa?

I applied for the Visa yesterday and got pending further review and this morning I get a call and automated voice tells me I'm approved. Never had that before where they call and tell me I'm approved. Usually I just get an email or letter in the mail. Whatever still happy I got approved.
