Wondering if the apply same second will work, people on FT reporting that with citi aa after immediate approval they sometimes send a denial.

I'd like to try for 2 at same time, should I try for 2 personal or 1 personal 1 business?
I've gotten immediate approval and then a denial letter in the past.  That's got nothing to do with applying 2x at a time though.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

So if I apply for 2 at a time, and I get the approval on both, u think I might actually get both cards?  Or are you saying it's worth a shot.  I've got 2 computers within 5 feet of each other so I am eager to try this.
Also if I do this is better to try visa 75k and amex 75k or visa 75k and business visa 75k or does it not matter?  By the way, thanks for this deal :)

To apply for a personal Visa and a Business Visa you dont need to do any shtick. You should be able to apply for both as they are in their own categories and having one doesnt exclude you from applying for the other.

Did you hit the submit button on both at the same time? Or did you do one and then the other? I think you have to do both at the same time so there is no record of a prior application when the "second" one goes through...

did you have other AA cards in the past? if not- which would make it seem that the denial is credit related- it's probably a good idea to check your report for mistakes/fraud anyway (and with the denial you are entitled to the report)

I have seen reports of people calling in and getting the decision reversed. I plan to call myself and try and get at least one reversed. Ill report back how that goes.

Update: I tried a few times. No go on getting the decision reversed.

On a separate note, it seems the Business cards take quite a while to process...has anyone else experienced that? Its been pending since Friday...

Does anyone know if Citi counts sending money through paypal as a purchase? If so, that would be a pretty cheap way to spend the required amount of money.

I guess you've never received money via Paypal

Im not sure what you mean. Although there is a fee for withdrawing money, it is still quite a cheap way to get to the required spending threshold (now that there is no more Us Mint)
