They charge roughly 4%. What happened to the mint?

Weird data point;
A friend of mine has an active Citi AA card for the last few years and applied for the 75K promo and got the message that he will receive a letter in the next few days with their decision. He just assumed that like everyone else he was probably denied because he is not a "new cardholder".
Today he got a congradulations email that he was approved for the card- and the kicker is that they said he already had the maximum amount of credit with them so they were moving a few thousand $ from his current active (Citi AA) card to this new card! So it is not even like his other card was missed by their system they actually acknowledge the card.
Is it maybe because his Citi AA is now a bronze card (lowered from regular card a few years ago)?

If multiple people apply for the CC using the same AAvantage number, would that go through?

I believe its 2.9%.  For $750 Dollars it comes out to about 22 dollars. Seems like a pretty good price to me for the bonus miles. Anyway I just verified that it works.

Paypal yourself or a relative and they'll shut you down.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

For those still pending on Business apps, when you call the # posted earlier it automatically transfers you to a rep when you put in your reference #.
The reason is because that is the phone # for the personal applications.

For the status of  your citi- business applications call this # 800-288-4653
The prompts are basically the same... 1, 3, 2, ssn#, home ph, DOB(mm/dd/yyyy)
Or 1, 3, 1, reference #, SS#, DOB

Does anyone know how high your credit score has to be for this offer? I'm asking because I don't wanna bother applying if i'm just gonna get rejected. With TransUnion my Score is in the low 700's but with the other two credit agencies its in the high 600's which i know is only "fair"
I got the citi MasterCard and visa within the past few months, and i was approved for the chase sapphire but i'm nervous about getting rejected for this one. Should i bother trying? Or just wait another month and see if my score goes up?

If you already have the AA citi MasterCard and visa, you will likely be denied anyway as its only for first timers. Perhaps you would be approved for a business card. Not sure about the credit score needed though. Maybe someone who just got his/her score with the equifax freebie from last week can chime in that they get approved and what their score was...

So it isn't even worth trying?

I can afford the ~4 point hit to my credit score.

Citi is YMMV.
Sometimes they approve me, other times they don't.
I have no idea the rhyme or reason.

If you can afford it then it is worth a shot. As I posted earlier my friend was not only approved even though he already has a Citi AA card they even moved some credit from his other card to this new one since they didnt want to give him more credit.
On the other hand I wasnt approved because of my other cards...
