I applied for the 75k mile offer and just got my cards in the mail, although I never received a confirmation email.

However, my AAdvantage # is not on the cards. How do I know what my number is and if I will be getting the 75k miles?

Go for it AsherO! I hope you get it!

Thank you. I just applied, about 5 minutes before the promotion officially ended. New AAdvantage number too.

I got the nefarious 'application received' screen:

Thank you AsherO. We have received your application and further processing is required at this time. We will contact you within a week via email regarding our decision. Thank you for requesting a Citi Select® / AAdvantage® American Express® card.

If you read the entire thread you'd know the answer to both your questions is....

...You guessed it! YMMV. Everything is possible with Citi, no one here can tell you the odds (anyone who claims they can, and doesn't work for Citi, is either guessing or lying).

My answer for you is it's worth a shot for the 75,000/100,000 miles, but set your expectations low.

Wife instantly approved for both personal cards (despite having the cards years ago).  I was instantly approved for the Amex personal and got "application received" for the personal visa (I currently have an open Citi MC personal).  Didn't do the biz apps (we both got biz Visas in June).

Officially 10/31.
Unofficially and IME it should keep working until the link stops working.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

Now I need to meet the 10k spending. Any quick reminders? Just order a US Mint gift card and an Amex gift card and im all set?

(Dan, perhaps you can do a master thread on top on the credit card section, titled "reaching your cc bonus threshold'?)

That would retroactively "suck" for many who applied in a rush, but could have had better chances if they waited a bit to apply.

One more thing. Thanks for yesterdays reminder on the aa credit cards that come with 75000 miles. i went for two for me and two for my wife. That will put me a drop out of the million. Thanks again. By the way they now have another deal for 75,000 but you have to spend 4,000 in 6 months instead of the 1500. http://creditcards.citicards.com/usc/Travel/AA/Multi/Nov10/Triple/75k/default.htm?Promocode=away5&BT_TX=1

Is the deal dead? if yes, what day did it go dead? I applied today, Nov.2, for the AMEX. Was this a mistake?

There's a new promo, different spend requirements. I wonder what happens to those who used the old links...

So you're maintaining that it's likely the old links will require the lower spend requirement? Maybe poublicize that so people use the old links while they are up.

On a sad note, both my subsequent apps (biz and amex) failed. One for multiple apps (biz within 90 days), and one for being a current aadvantage member. I'm going to try letter-writing this time.
