Did you actually receive the cards yet?  My sister did a 2BM for the amex and mc and got instant approval on both.  She received the amex and then got a letter saying that they couldn't give her the mc due to multiple apps.

I'm flying AA soon, I have 3 (hope to have 4 by then if my HUCA lucky streak continues) cards to swipe. I guess I will be buying 3/(4) of whatever is cheapest on the menu and paying with different CC's.

Can be a couple hundred to a couple thousand.  Wait until the statement closes.. or a day or two before and then cancel the ticket.

Make sure it's refundable and not leaving anytime soon.
