Dan, I didn't mean that I needed proof that when u said its active, it's active. I've been around for long enough to know better than that!
I meant that its nice that although the promotion officially ended a while ago, yet, its still active. that's it.
Like I said, not you per se, just sayin'

Funny how so may people keep asking and doubting (not you per se) even though I've done this countless times over the past 5 years and have stated my opinion too many times to count.
for an offer like this especially since they came out with a similar offer so soon after, i dont think its funny for some to be cautious

They can come out with 59 other offers for all I care.  I've said my piece far too many times on this topic and won't any more in this thread.

i applied today.  after the application was submitted, they initiated a live chat to see if they could approve me on the spot.  although they couldn't (i.e. i'll probably be declined), i was able to get in writing that i'm enrolled in the 75k promotion:

"you: also, can you see on the application whether i enrolled under any promotion, specifically, one for AA miles?

Beverly: You will earn 75,000 bonus miles after spending $1500 with in 6 months."

So, I got declined because I'm already an Aadvantage card member.   think it would help if I close that CC?  and then try again in 60 days or am i wasting my time (and my credit pulls?)

Anyone know?  Is there a number at Citi (like at Chase) that I can call to ask them to reconsider and/or move credit?

they avoid giving a 2nd card-trying to prevent churning. closing the card might improve chances of 'getting it by'

+1

Not to steal Miles' magic, but let me (please) add a clause: Was anyone approved twice for this specific offer?

does the one time rule apply for each of the cards (visa, visa business, amex) or you can only get one of them?

just applied for the business card, and got approved instantly!!!!!!!!!! i figured, i'm planning to cancel the card after i get the points so the business card is probably the best one, bc cancelling won't affect my credit score.
i just hope i'll get the 75k for it, but even if i don't, the current citi offer for this card is 40k so i figured its totally a win-win situation.

You'll get the 75k, why would you think otherwise?

i know i'll get it, i'm just saying that even if i don't (i thought i saw YMMV) it's still worth it, bc 40k, and no credit score hit is a great deal as well.

i think i've officially joined the game. this is my second card i've gotten approved for in the past weeks, and this time it was instant.
i think i'm gonna wait a bit till i push further.
