Just applied for all 3 100K cards in a shot.
Got approved for the Consumer Visa instantly.  We'll see if it comes now or if I get the dreaded "first-time customer" letter from Mr. Pick.
Currently have an open AA Consumer Visa, MC, AMEX, and a business card.
dan let us know how many hits you get from the 3 inquiries!
also why didnt you close any of your cards before reapplying?

how sure are we that citi doesn't track if you've gotten the bonus by mileage numbers?   (we saw that chase does)

is the 75K aa miles with the 1500 spending in 6 months still working for aa amex and visa?  Which is the best link to use for it?  I don't see the offer listed when I click on any of the links.

For all those that are nervous to sign up for a card without knowing if the offer is still
available... Here is a new link with landing page and all for the 75k offer. Only downside is that you need
to spend 4k instead of 1.5.  If anybody still has the landing page for the 50k/100k offer, please
be sure to post it. Good luck!!

Call them and see if they'll reopen the first card. Then make sure you get the miles.
Applications wont re-open the card (more than 3 months since it closed - i took my time unfortunately).  I explained that I was a first time AAdvantage customer approved for an amex, but canceled before ever using the card. They said bc I had a card even though I didnt use it I am not technically a first time applicant. Applications said take it up with customer service. What is the best course of action when I speak to the csr?

btw if you've been trying to add the citi business card to your mint.com account, make sure to select Citibusiness Platinum Select Credit Card as the card to add, otherwise it doesn't work.

Hopefully you confirm receipt of the card soon enough, if you get it I think I'll go for another round too.

What I don't get is how you could possibly get approved if Citi checks your SSN for prior cards/approvals.

Dan has his ways...

Dan, you're baffling us. Yes, baffling.

Got a present in the mail today!!!

Wooohoooo!

Applied for both personal 75k cards at the same time.
After the app, a box popped up on both apps to chat and confirm my info.

I clicked on both and chatted with 2 differant reps.

The Amex card rep responded first after confirming my info and wrote:
Ok, upon reviewing your application, approving it won't be a problem for me. I'm just looking at the amount to approve it at. I can go ahead and approve it for $2,000 or if you want a higher credit line, I can go ahead and move some credit line over from your Citi Bronze Card. I can move the maximum of $6,000 over to make your new credit line $8,000 and your old card will still have a credit line of $9,000. Which do you prefer?

The visa card rep then wrote:
I see that you have 2 existing cards with us, sir. And we most certainly appreciate your business. What I can do today is go ahead and approve this new AA Platinum card with a credit limit of $2,000. Or, I could move $5,000 from your existing AA Bronze Advantage mastercard's credit line to this new card. That would decrease your credit limit from $15,000 to $10,000 on your AA Bronze card, but then I would be able to approve this new AA Platinum card for $7,000. Would you be ok with that?

On the amex, i let him move some credit over. For the visa, i took just the 2k so it wouldnt trigger a red flag when they pull all the credit from it.

For the second card, she said she was having computer problems. Then she said she approved it and was sending it the next department to be finalized. She said she approved it already on her end...We shall see what happens...

This will be awesome if they actually arrive. Another 150k!!!
Wondering if i should i go for another in the wife's name...
