Rhetorical question, right?
It just seems that nobody gets denied for that reason, only for having the card before.

If you reapply for the AA card every 60 days that's 12 inquiries in 2 years (the length enquiries remain on). Add to that all the other cards and it just seems like there would be many enquiries and still no denial for that reason...

Tried for 75k amex and visa. The only card I have with them is a MC opened in June for a small 25-30k bonus. Response is "further processing required"

denied both,  This specific offer is valid only for first-time Citi(R)  / AAdvantage(R) cardmembers.
I am not a big churner either.

I currently have 4 Citi credit cards 3 consumer and 1 business card, and I was just approved for a consumer 50k/100k card. I would like to apply for another Citi business card. Do I need to wait? Does anyone know their policy (if the have one).

I am happy to report that I was able to open the Amex consumer on my wife's name but with my AA number. After meeting the treshold the first moth, I received the bonus miles, as well as the regular miles in my AA account.
My question is:
Is it risky to continue using this credit card? Could it be that Citi will catch on to it, so better off keeping a low profile and cancelling before the year is up?

Does the link work for the 75k with 1500 in spending even though it doesn't say it on the application page?
my husband got approved through that link for visa and for the amxe over the phone within about 10 minutes of each other.
I got declined for the visa because i had signed up for the 30k last year.  do i have any other options to get this bonus? Will I have any better luck with a business card?

My wife was denied the citi aa card. I called to ask why (her credit is in the high 700's) and they said there were 2 problems with the application-too many credit inquiries recently and too many young credit cards (they are afraid she has extended her credit too thin).
So it does happen.
Life isn't about checking the boxes. Nobody cares.

can you check to see if they pulled a credit report on you (ie hard inquiry)?

I got approved a week ago, however, I didn't ask if I got the offer - I assume it's ok.

A friend of mine is willing to open CC on his name and give me the points, so I was trying to figure out what would be the best bet. I figured that 75k AA miles would be a god bet, however, I'm still trying to figure out how this can be done. I read that some people have opened AA cards with someone else's frequent flyer number. Is it possible? Is it risky? Should I open a new frequent flyer account for this and then merge them? Or could someone recommend the best bet, thanks.( I hope that this is the right forum for this).

Hey guys,

I need an advice. I've been churning AA citicards in 2008-2009, but then I was shut down for the personal cards due to first-time clause. Right now I'm planning to apply for AA Biz Visa card. I currently have an open AA Biz MC card which has been open for 18 months and the "business name" is my initials. Before that card, I had 2 other AA Biz MCs. All were under my SSN, rather than EIN. At the end of 2009, I opened AA Biz Visa under a different "business name" and with an EIN. Initially I used my SSN, but was declined due to a first-time clause. I then called in and asked to resubmit it with EIN and was approved. So I had 2 biz cards at the same time. I closed the Visa couple months ago.

So this time around, I was hoping to open AA Biz Visa under my own full name. But should I use my SSN or EIN?  Thanks.

If you apply with EIN number, don't they still go by your SS #?

It worked last time.   I told them it was a different business for which I never had a citi biz card, and AA Biz Visa in particular.

Strange, after my denial I got both cards in the mail, does this mean I am set for another 75k x 2? Should I confirm with citi or will they possibly see I shouldnt have gotten them? just spend the $1500 and hope for the best?
