Should I apply for the card(s)?

Background:  My last approved Personal AA Citi Amex was on 12/09   My last approved Business AA Visa was on 08/10.    I cancelled my Personal Citi Amex on 06/10.      I applied for AA Visa on 08/10 and got the "not first time" message.    I still have AA Bus Visa.

What are the changes I will be approved for the personal AA Visa and AA Amex?  Should I cancel my AA Bus Visa first and wait 60 before applying for the personal cards?

The topic of cancelling a card in order to "make room" for new cards has been lingering around for awhile. I can tell from my personal experience that I've gotten approved for the personal Visa while having a personal Visa open.
MAJOR YMMV ISSUE.
In any case, the 60 days are between applications, not between closing a card and an application.
*hint* personal and business cards should be viewed as two separate products as they don't affect each other.
Good luck!

Do they affect each other when it comes to recent applications? Meaning if one just applied for a business card, can he apply for a personal card 2 days later? Or will they deny him for having a recent app?

Update:
I went ahead and applied the 75K Amex and 75K Visa one right after the other.   I was in Step 3 on both applications, and when when I click on continue,  I got the error: "A system error has caused a delay in processing your application. Be assured that we have received it and there is no need to resubmit. We will contact you at the mailing address you provided as soon as it is processed. Thank you!"   I tried calling in for approval but they say the application is being reviewed.   What are my chances of being approved?   I remembered last time I applied (08/10)  I just got the "we will let you know" and didn't have the option to confirm my email and etc.

Applied last week for another 75k biz card using a new EIN.
Got approved a week later.

Just did another trifecta for the wife....all three are pending (she had all 3 already). I used my aa # for all 3 of them hoping to get me a little closer to 1MM before AA changes that.

Will report back on what happens with them

Sites that man that they dont have your ss on record from your last business card app? Wat I mean to ask is that it seems that they use your ss to get you approved but after that they delete it. Am i correct?

I doubled up on the personal Visa and Amex late last night and was not instantly approved (hovering mid 750s Exp rating). I then called customer service this morning and was asked to verify some information. They then approved me for both cards with 9k limits each and the 75k mile promos.

The one kicker was that it was with 4k spending limits within 6 months instead of the 1.5k. 8k wouldn't be too bad if I didn't have spending goals on a few other cards I just received. The application employee told me to give customer service a call once I received the cards to go over the promo terms so I'll give you guys an update then if the 1.5k spending is still available.
