I applied in Nov for the 40k. Is there a way to get it matched? i emailed them but got a negative.

But you can try to churn it. YMMV though.

What if I send money via paypal to a friend using the Citi AA card and the friend just withdraws the money and gives it to me?  Are there any fees associated with that process?  (i.e. will my $1500 become $1500 minus 3%)

Thanks.

A week ago I put through a triple-app (my third round IIRC). The two personal cards got declined (one for multiple app and one for first time cardholders only), and the biz got declined for multiple apps too. I called them and pleaded my case, and got the biz app submitted for credit review, today I got an email that I'm approved with $8k CL :D FTW!!!
how many hard inquiries did you get for the trifecta?

I went and checking my credit monitoring especially for you, I got one pull on Equifax, but YMMV (especially if you live in an area where Citi consumer and Citi business pull from different bureaus , then you're likely to get two pulls IMHO).

I don't think so, lots of reports on FT.

So interesting. I did a trifecta for my brother and used my AA# to try and help me hit 1MM before its all over.

1 got denied right away and the other 2 were pending. He got requests in the mail for the 4506T and they wouldn't accept our parent income as he is under 21. So they agreed to cancel both of those apps. Then i called back for the denied one and asked them to reconsider it because it was cancelled due to multiple requests for credit and those 2 other apps were cancelled. They agreed to do that. i just checked and it was approved!!!
I wonder if i should call back on the cancelled one and try and get that one back in the game. Its probably a better idea to just lay low.

Also, one of the reps mentioned that 2 applications is the maximum allowed and thats why the 3rd one got denied.

You think i have a shot? on both "cancelled ones" it was because of income, or lack thereof as he is under 21 and used parents income. They said he has to use HIS income which is nothing...

You did manage to get one app approved FWIU, so why not try for a second once you get this card. You can also try offering a joint cardholder for credit approval purposes.

hmmm thats not a bad idea..."I" can put his brother (me) on the phone after a pause and agree to be joint cardholder ;D

On a side note, a few family members just signed up for cards and used my AA#. wondering after how many CC's credit to my AA account would AA start to ask questions (or would they not even notice)

Thank you for checking it out for me, i live in brooklyn, are we in the same area? is it safe to say that everyone in your area would only get 1 pull.
