Your best off using your name as biz name
especially if they ask you for proof of business address.
so the business name should really be a name of the person who gets the phone
bill, or internet bill. ( They'll have to have a business bank account too but you can always
make that later.)

Wouldnt that raise a red flag if they have a different business name . Unless the computer doesnt pick up such things because one could own a few busineses. Also once they approved that name will they question in next time . Im not gaining that this business is already in the system?

I live with my girlfriend, and all the bills are in her name, should I use her name as the name of the business when applying?

Just not working. Supervisor is being hard-headed and insists she has to follow 'policy.' Only advice is to write to the office of the president.

Quick recap:
-Initially declined because of too many inquiries and and an old Citi account that was closed by the bank as delinquent. Was told by supervisors that they cannot look past this delinquent account but that they can reconsider based on the number of inquiries and suggested I speak with customer service to resolve this old account. After spending hours on the phone, they finally corrected the old account.

-I then spoke to a supervisor in new accounts who resubmitted the application.

-I called to check the status and it was 'voided' as the promo (amex 75k) no longer existed. The supervisor said I should reapply. I applied for the Visa 75k and was declined because of 'too many inquiries.'

-I called New Accounts and the supervisor just won't budge despite the usual spiel.

Any advice? Anyone have any luck with the President's Office?

Well, here's an example where perseverance pays off! I wrote into the Citi Office of the President last week outlining the entire history of my applications with Citi and why I believe I should be approved. Got a call back today that they reviewed everything and were able to approve it! Called back customer service to verify that the 75k promotion is on file and everything looks good.

I'm tempted to apply for the business as well, but that might just be pushing it.

Citi Business Card - Should I apply?
« Reply #1248 on: June 27, 2011, 04:52:38 PM »
Question:   I applied for Citi Visa Business on 08/10 and just cancelled on 05/11.  Do I need to wait 90 days from my cancellation date? or can I apply now?

thanks!

Did a double for Citi Visa Personal 1.5k and Citi Visa Business 1.5k, can't meet the 4k spend in time for the Amex.

Got instant approval for Citi Visa Personal, but pending for business :(

Is it best to cancel these Citi cards or keep them open after getting the bonuses?

Sorry, that was a dumb post, if I was churning it would be best to close them after getting the bonuses.

Or switch to a different card type, this way when you churn you can have the account converted and you'll have less issues with getting them to issue (no pun intended) more credit.

Switch my Citi AA to something else, and then when another offer rolls around, convert it back to Citi AA?

When another offer rolls around, they won't see you have an open AA. They might see that you've had it already though. Churning this offer is an unpredictable cr@pshoot of YMMV.

These:

Go for it, while supplies lasts. Do three apps (for different cards: $1.5k Visa, $1.5k Visa Business and $4k Amex) in different browsers and submit at the same time. If you're lucky you'll get all three.
