I upgraded by mistake to lollipop, and my phone is suddenly using a ton of ram. People experiencing this?

Is there currently any way to force a Verizon moto x to use only 3g instead of LTE? Since I only get a bit of 4g and unlimited 3g I'd rather use it selectively. I tried a few of the these LTE turn on/off apps and they tell me that my phones network doesn't allow it.

Dunno about Verizon but on Sprint (with KitKat) you can go to settings - wireless and networks - more - mobile networks - network mode and choose CDMA only

Ye problem is that Verizon switched that option with a option for 'global'. Total pita.
