I use the RW Moto X.  I've had it since they launched it, and it's fantastic.  I use it with the $25 3G unlimited everything plan because there isn't much 4G service here.  It works perfectly, I've never had any dropped calls due to the Wifi calling.  I can't recommend it enough, it's a great phone and the service is amazingly cheap.  My sister has an Iphone on one of the other Sprint MVNO's and she's paying a fortune, and isn't allowed to roam on Verizon tower's like my RW phone can.

Wondering if anyone has experience with Republic Wireless service in the Lakewood, NJ area? I'm thinking of switching from Sprint to RW.

RW service IS Sprint service (when you're not on wifi).

I use the RW Moto X also. Same plan as rynocity & have had the same experience - no problems at all (I'm in Richmond, VA). Have family in Roanoke, VA (a mountainous area) who just switched & they are having a very good experience as well. Love the phone & the plan rates.

How much are the taxes and fees on your RW bill each month? I bought the Moto X with the $10 plan and my taxes and fees were over $25.

Hmmm, that seems very high. I had 3 phones on the $19/month plan until I upgraded to the Moto X (just recently upgraded, so I haven't gotten my January bill yet) & my total taxes/fees for all 3 phones was only $7.59.

You were able to have a family plan? $19 total for 3 phones? I thought each phone gets billed separately.

No, each phone was $19 plus taxes/fees, but they were all billed together & the taxes/fees came to $7.59 for all three.

So I got my Moto X on Friday. So far RW's service is just fine but I dislike the phone. I find it so much harder to get used to than the iphone. I have two apps that already froze on Friday, a problem I never had with my iphone. I'm so frustrated and am wondering if I'll have to return the phone because of this, even though I really would've liked to stay with RW.

Hate is a strong word. A lot of people don't like having to learn a new system. I'd give it a good week before deciding.

You're right. I'm just very frustrated and upset too that apps were freezing on the first day of using it.

Whenever you switch operating systems you can expect a learning curve, which apps kept freezing?

It's a brand new phone. How do I know if there's a problem?

What's a good case to buy for this phone? I don't want anything too bulky but it should be protective.

No. It's locked to rw, until someone hacks it.

If you like TPU cases, I like the Diztronic - http://www.amazon.com/Diztronic-Frosted-Inside-Flexible-Motorola/dp/B00E24YUAG or the Cimo is also pretty good.

The SupCase is harder and also has a screen protector - http://www.amazon.com/SUPCASE-Motorola-Unicorn-Beetle-Hybrid/dp/B00E8GQHM2

The Supcase handles the volume and power buttons much better than the others.
