For anyone interested I had a chance to play around with the Moto X (Sprint) for about a day and a half. This is a review/comparison.
First off the size of this device is fantastic. They managed to pack in a 4.7 inch screen but the phone is CONSIDERABLY shorter and more narrow than my current HTC One as well as one of my favorite devices, the Galaxy Nexus.
The screen is great too. It has lower specs than the HTC One but I heard you couldn't really tell the difference. Oddly enough I think the Moto X screen tends to look nicer most of the time than my HTC One though the HTC seems to have more true to life colors.
I never noticed ANY sort of lag at all on my HTC One... until I held the Moto X. The X is just so smooth, it's great.
By now phones have come so far though the HTC One is still smooth enough.
One of the reasons the HTC One is a bigger phone is because of the awesome front facing speakers. Now here's the thing, even though the speakers are on the back of the Moto X the sound is still great and the volume is just as good if not better than my One. In fact I think I preferred the sound coming from the X.
For the most part the OS is stock Android which I like though I think I prefer the HTC's version at the moment which is a first for me.
The camera on the Moto X is pretty good but not as good as my HTC One. Especially in low light situations. Though that happens to be one of the Ones strengths in general so...
One of the Moto X's selling point is it's touchless control. I didn't play around with it too much but it seemed to work well and more than most gimmicky features now a days I could see people using it pretty often when driving or busy with your hands.
One thing I was disappointed about was the fact that Sprint removed all the system languages besides English and Spanish. It's always nice having Hebrew as an option. I guess it's not quite a stock Android device.
Meanwhile the device feels awesome in the hand and would be a great choice for anyone looking for an upgrade. Especially if you're a stock Android fan. And for those like me who prefer a "smaller" device.
