Any recent reviews of this hotel?

Do plats get free breakfast?

What about upgrades?

Sent my parents there last week. Rooms are nice (although no air condition in the hallway! israeli style). Booked from gold account, and they got an upgrade. Front desk told my dad breakfast is free for elite members on a paid stay and 30% off on an awrd stay.

Is they realize that free night was booked for a friend and the account holder is not starting (even though he's on the reservation as first guest) do they really care, can they make problems?

based on the fact that most Ritz certificates sold here are used for that hotel I would say no.

But I would still be smart about it.

I asked a family member to look into the Kashrut of the ritz. This is what he came back with. Can anyone let me know how it compares to the research that you did? Thanks.

I just spoke to the mashgiach of the Ritz Carlton. He said that for dairy everything is halab Yisrael and mehadrin. All lettuce pre checked etc. Very reliable. The meat meals aren't a good Kashrut but when you make a reservation you can tell them you want machpud meat which is an excellent Kashrut.

Sounds right. We ate breakfast there after speaking to the mashgiach and going over some fish and nuts that were not mehadrin (though whether lox needs to be mehadrin is probably another question).

We didn't eat dinner there, but Lechem Basar, Cafe Cafe, and Papagaio are all in the marina complex with mehadrin hechshers.

I care more about the breakfast. I have a hard time eating in places where some meat is good and some isnt as you said what about the pots etc.

Have a reservation for a standard room for 2 people. Will the hotel give me an issue to check in with 3 people? How much do they charge? I don't need a rollaway bed.

It might have been 25%. I was just referring to the question below (and he used the term 30), and thought maybe the breakfast is considered like the restaurant. Sorry if I blundered.
