Just use it, Marriott points are worth close to nothing, like 0.5 cpp
+1 - unless you're desperate for money.

Updated TR:
We recently went for a 2 night stay again and although had another really nice experience I was a bit more objective this time. Firstly I had left feedback via survey that was emailed to me following my first stay here, everything honest. Sometime thereafter received an email from the GM apologizing for the issues I had with my stay and inviting me to let her make it up at our next stay. I replied to her email with our dates for this stay and asked to be upgraded to suite and she responded in the affirmative. In addition I managed, with much difficulty, to convince a rep at guest services to give me a $100 credit towards dining or spa even though that benefit on the credit card is only for paid stays.
A. One big con about the hotel is that it is situated atop a mall and, although they have free parking in the garage and an elevator straight from there to the lobby, it is not very accessible by foot. See below

The only entrance by foot to the hotel
There is an elevator right when you walk in but there still is a walk from that point to the lobby... not very convenient that there is no direct access to either the beach or marina much unlike the mall beneath it.
Anyway, as we approached the counter they greeted us by name saying they remember us from 2 1/2 months ago (must have had something to do with knowledge that we were coming). Check-in was not extra smooth as we were not confirmed in our suite and the receptionist had to take several minutes to check with the GM.

They have a Jaguar on site to take you anywhere even pickup and dropoff at airport!

How would you compare the second stay to the first?

FWIW the place doesn't always have a minyan on shabbos. The mashgiach claims fruit & vegetables are gush katif etc.

Is the car/driver complimentary?  I was there in January but wasn't aware of a car.

You didn't expect this?  Their rates are more comparable to RC3s

I stayed at the Ritz Hertzeliya in Feb and was very unimpressed.
For a hotel in Israel their breakfast menu is embarrassing.
The rooms are nice and modern but REALLY small and the narrow elevators , the weird entrance situation the whole thing was just ehh
it CAN be done!

Yes, that's about right. I did get them to give me a ride to my cousins house in Herzliya, a few minutes outside of Herzliya pituach.

I found the breakfast buffet to be quite good. The downside being not included in award rate.  My rooms (stayed there twice with points) were very large with beautiful views.

1) Have u been to other Israeli hotels? I can make this statement based on the very large number of hotels I have stayed at
2) The rooms do have a beautiful view however even with my gold status upgrade I found the rooms small + no balcony but maybe that was just my luck....

1) Yes.  I am not saying it's the best breakfast in Israel but certainly would not call it "embarrassing" as you have.  I enjoyed the buffet choices as they made my customized omelet to my liking.
2) I guess I got a much better upgrade both times with an amazing view, very large 646 sq feet with balcony.  I also liked the way the elevators worked

Of all the times I've been there, every time I've been upgraded, once even to a suite. I found the breakfast quite good. Email your feedback they're very good with compensation

been to the hotel twice. very happy with the food and customer service (our twins kept us up all night one time and they paid for a babysitter and free spa treatment for my wife). must give props to this hotel and their staff
