2.5 years ago they charged for rollaway bed, but didn’t charge for a bag of food they kept in their fridge downstairs.

Two years ago they did not charge me for a a rollaway, but I got an upgrade to a bigger room, so not sure if that makes a difference.

In the past I have been able to fit in a decent amount of food in the fridge that they have in the rooms

Officially when booking a cot with your reservation there is a charge of i believe $40 a night. Though in the past i was able to call the front desk while i was there and they sent one up for free.

seems like Marriott just did a devaluation Ritz is only starting at 56k now instead of 50k for off peak dates

Can someone explain why they won’t allow me to book with 50k cert if the price of the room is 64k points? Can’t I book the room with the 50k cert and then top off 14k points?

Yes can add up to 15k

Iirc can't book room upgrades with a cert, even if total is less than 65k.

Correct certificate is only good for standard room reward the superior room

It’s not letting me continue using my 35k free night probably due to standard night change in price to 56k. Do you think I’ll have any luck getting a customer service rep to do it or no chance?

No, you'll have to find a cheaper date.

Just called they claimed they can’t change it because it was booked with points only Marriott could she said they can’t even add name to reservation for same reason… any ideas? Have to cancel by 11:59pm israel time to get full refund for reservation….

Need their reservation department to do a date change front desk can't do anything, as for adding name need Marriott direct to add the name they can't add it for you.

Funny story. Last summer I used a Marriott free night certificate at this hotel. It was for a nice room (partial ocean partial harbor view) but I asked at checkin about an upgrade. The check in guy was really polite and explained that the only higher level room is a suite and they are all privately owned. I showed a sour face and sighed. When we got to the room it was amazing. It wa a corner room and it was huge with a giant sitting area, huge bathroom and nice sized mirpeset. We ate at lechem basar and had an amazing time.
