Thinking about booking a couple nights through FHR (at least in part to use my $200 credits).

But your experience seems to conflict with Dan's, but nonetheless good to hear.
What was occupancy in April?
In June/July it was nearly 100% and they were woefully understaffed.

Shmita is also a huge issue. Knocks out most of the breakfast.

they told me it was sold out but wasnt fully clear (i went right before pesach). my sister's family booked on points and came before me and were having a terrible time and not getting service/rollaway bed etc. i checked in with my FHR rsvp (i got 350 off each room combining a 150 off 400 and general $200 credit) and they auto upgraded our base rooms to executive suites with awesome views. then i came back to figure out my sister's situation and Irena apologized for how my family was treated and the rest of the stay was great. we are both just marriot gold.  seemed clear to me amex/paid stays get more care.

Agreed on shmitta, i happened to be less worried about it this time around but if u dont eat heter mechira as a rule that's an issue there, as well as most hotels outside jlem.

Service was non-existent when we went. 0 stars.
Never had this issue pre-covid when using points.
And the rooms are getting quite worn.

my sister's calls to the front desk werent being answered (i assume bc there was a glut of people coming in) but when i went down the person that checked us in stopped and came right to us while on line.
base rooms were warn and a little tight from what i saw, but our exec suites were both clean and kept up nicely. https://www.tripadvisor.com/Profile/shiframeir/Review/844663972
and  i dont know many hotels in israel that are kept up better beyond the citadel and maybe updated inbal.

Hi. I've been out of all this for a while. I'm wondering if I can get some ideas. We're planning iyh on going to the ritz carlton for two nights in the beginning of December. Don't want to go through 45 pages if someone can help me out please
1. Reliable kosher places for breakfast/lunch - milchig, supper - fleishig (I was told best not to eat in the "kosher" restaurant in the hotel)
2. Shul nearby
3. Activities, like bike riding, for an older couple that still feels young.
4. I was also told to go by train (I'll be coming from Rechavia) and use uber if needed. Is train near Rechavia, near the Ritz?
Any other info?
Thanks so much

TLV port has some kosher places
can rent bikes/scooters and go thru Park Hayarkon and Gan Yehoshua. It's very nice, and in the morning hours, the rainforest area is open.
Can also bike along the boardwalk down to Jafa

Just came back from a 1 night stay here. Was great service 9/10. They specifically went over my Amex benefits of 4pm checkout and the rest...

Any recent DP about second guest checking in?

How much do they charge for late checkout after Shabbat?

Never stayed at the Jaffa, but note that it's not kosher.

Good to know. Rules that one out. Hilton Tel Aviv or Ritz?
