French Alps - Val Cenis - Summer

I am looking into going to Val Cenis (French Alps) in August.

I would most likely fly from EWR - MXP Milan.

Has anyone been there or to that area in the summer? Any tips or recommendations? Any tips where I can rent a car from and how is driving there?

There will be a yeshiva camp in Chamrousse.
GVA is closer to Val Cenis than MIL.

I have non stop flights out of EWR.

What dates will the camp be there? How far is it? What camp is it?
