it probably wouldn't.

$DSL instanceof Broadband
is probably more likely (at least in php) :)

yup in php that is true :)

Warning:

I had one but it kept messing up my router so I stopped using it.
I contemplated selling it on ebay but they don't go for much.
One day Sprint called me and said they noticed that I don't use it, and I should send it back.
They threatened to charge me $100 if I don't send it back!!

Point is, you  don't 'own' it, you're borrowing it from sprint, so make sure you have it if they ask for it back!!!!

this was for the new airvana right?

Is it worth the $2-3 a month?

So all you guys must believe its worth the ~$30/year in taxes?

If you have a poor signal, of course.
If you have a good signal then of course it's not.

Why do we think that taxes actually get affected by a free airave?

So I guess it works wonders... Time to call up.

Wasn't me...:

Just be aware that it cost like $2/3  a month in taxes (depending on where you live).

Airave increased my account by $2/month.  It's billed as a line of service, so it has those surcharges added.

Just got the Brio for my parents, which of course is not working. The rep gave me a whole shpiel about 3g networks being upgraded in the area. Long story short the airave is on the way. I asked the rep about the taxes and she said there is $1.50 administrative surcharge (whatever that means) plus tax which is about 8 cents. Don't take this as fact, for as we know sprint reps don't have a clue what they are talking about. This fact still boggles my mind, but hey i got free shipping plus the activation fee for 2 new phones waived, now get this $36*2=$72. Right? Wrong these are her words "I'm going to give you an $80 statement credit so you get an extra $6, enjoy it". Basic math also not a requirement to get a job there, I'm just wondering what is.  ;D

LOL

Now this is what i'm trying to figure out in this last call while ordering the airave i was asked 3 times if there is any billing related issue that they could help me with. I tried asking for a statement credit, but was told those can only be given for a direct billing issue, no goodwill gestures. She obviously couldn't offer whatever it was to me but was waiting for me to say the right thing and she would have done whatever she was hinting at. Any idea what it is i can get from them?

Minutes are not needed. And I already have just about all the credits I can think of: a few hundred free texts per line, the $10 additional line charge gets cancelled out by a monthly $10 credit per line, etc. I just thought it was interesting that they were trying so hard to offer me something, I haven't had that from them in a few years.

Officially GPS won't allow it to work internationally, but please try and let us know if it worked for you.

If the problem is only GPS, shouldn't be a problem indoors, etc. Or just disable the GPS chip. I think the problem would be IF they recognize the IP address is non-American. Then lechora a proxy should do the job...
