Anyone have a cheap car for sale?
I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

$2000 for the warranty
mileage is 45000
how do I know if they will be around in 2 years?

so you think its not worth it to get extended warranty?

I know this is an old post but for anyone else..... You're likely spending roughly 20-22k on your Sienna with approx 45k on it. I don't see how it makes sense to spend roughly 10% cost of a vehicle (a very reliable vehicle indeed) on a warranty. But hey, some people buy warranties on their countertop microwave as well  ;)
I asked a top mechanic (in Lakewood) about these warranties which have become popular. He thought it is ridiculous but he said "I don't know what to say, today people spend money without even thinking". He thought it unnecessary on such a purchase. I was also referring to a 2017 Sienna with 30-50k on it.

How much can I get for this car?
2007 Toyota Sienna 113K
Excellent mechanical condition rides very good (new tires, replaced shocks, rotors, control arm L, R&P when I bought it 12 months ago)
Cosmetics not in top shape but not bad for a car this age

Even If I'm getting it for free? sounds like to much work, ain't worth it. I wish there was a way to do it locally.
So what did you end up doing? Kept it canadian or changed it to NY plates?

Curios what the process is 7 years later.

And what the fees are to transfer a vehicle?

Can anyone who has bought a new or used car recently and registered it in NJ confirm how long it took to get license plates?

I bought a used car on Nov 15 from a dealership in NY. They supposedly submitted the paperwork to the NJ MVC and I was supposed to get my plates within 45 days (i.e., end of Dec). Meanwhile, my temporary interstate license plate expired 3 weeks ago. I contacted the NJ MVC and they said that they need to know which MVC the paperwork was submitted to in order to track status. I can't get the dealership to give me an answer about which MVC they submitted it to (I suspect they outsource this to a third-party company). Anything else I can try?

I have a set of license plates from a lease that I just gave back that I haven't returned to the MVC yet. Am I better off putting those plates on my new car even though it doesn't match the registered vehicle? Or am I better off driving around with an expired temporary license plate? I figure if I got a ticket for having expired temp license plates I can argue that it was delayed due to COVID. But if I have the wrong plates there isn't much of an argument I can make.

I've seen a good bit of expired temporary plates on cars. I would think you would have a better argument with them than with plates from a different car.
