BA Avios vs. AA Miles? Which to use?
« on: August 12, 2013, 03:45:19 PM »
Hi everyone-

I am wondering whether it is better for me to accumulate miles in BA or AA for travel on all the oneworld airlines. I know that the Star Alliance is the best program but the oneworld usually has better fares to/from TLV. Should I build up miles on BA or AA when flying on oneworld partners? What are the advantages/disadvantages of either one. Don't only look at it from the perspective of flying to Israel, also which is better to fly domestically in the US once I earn enough miles.
(I just flew from TLV through Milan and used my AA number and have a flight reserved to fly back to TLV through London with BA and then LY from LHR-TLV.)

thanks

AA are worth more on the market. If you're redeeming for international awards, AA is typically worth more. If you value domestic award redemption (especially economy), BA is especially worth it.
