All accounts count towards AAoA (Average Age of Accounts). It does not care if it is open or closed. If it shows on your report it counts!

Does this mean that after several years of churning, the average age of accounts will rise, as many old accounts will show up?

Yes,  but closed accounts fall off after 10  years.

Some might stay longer. The main point is after you have so many cards and they start to age you no longer need to concern yourself about AAoA.
Only on DDF does 24/6 mean 24/5/half/half

Um....I just went to TransUnion's site to see my score and signed up for their 7-day free trial and they are giving me a "VantageScore." What is that?

It can't be an official score because their scale goes up to 990. Is it even possible to get my score from Transuinion's site?

****Never mind, did a quick search and now I see it's a bogus score and I can only get my TU and EXP from MyFICO.

Sign up for a free Wal-Mart credit card, to get your TU FICO score for free.

You going to take a pull just to get a silly score for free?
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

+1, someone in the comments on your recent post about FICO scores on the main site, also came up with this idea that you can ask your bank to pull your FICO score.... you always answer the same answer so nicely, I am impressed with your geduld

Heh, some people take pulls to get 10% off their order, netting them a ground $ 7.26

Best part:
You have an established credit history.
Your oldest account was opened
25 Years, 4 Months ago
and yet, I am only 23 :D

The negative of recent acct opened was weird, 8 months ago which was an approved SP 1bm
The 2bm w/ AMEX (SPG and Plat, both approved)in May, and 3bm Chase business (IB, IP, and United, IB approved) in June didnt show up???

Once you have it, you have it. It's always nice to know your TU credit score. Since when are you so worried about pulls?

Have you applied for any cards in the past 2 years? If not, applying for one may raise your score. This is based on some research I've done over the past 2 days - a lot of reading over a few sites, so I can't quote a source. I know this may not be helpful to some, because I'm not actually giving an answer, but I am saying to look into that specific aspect.

If you have applied for cards in the past 2 years, you'd want to holf off until after the mortgage (may make a difference of a few points of a %.)

Wait 2 years from applying for CCs to apply for a mortgage? I've never heard that before, only 6 months.

Not sure Amex does that anymore.

anyone have any more info on this? I have someone with a great score that would add me as an AU. Does it backdate automatically?

I have read what he said also so I just hope this 6 month thing is really true.
