Get a barclays card.
Or discover where you get the more commonly used model
I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

ARGHHH!!!
I was just checking my CK account to see how many inquiries my 2BM for Barclays was (shows only 1 FWIW), and I noticed that the average age of my credit is  "D" -  3 yrs 5 months. It used to be like 7-8 years. I reloaded my experian report and saw that my mom's macys card that she opened in 1975 on which i was an AU was reported closed in September of this year!!!
How dare she do that and not call me!!
I called my father about it and he said he's trying to get her to close down some of her store cards. Given that he has no need for loans and his credit is phenomenal anyway it doesn't impact them to close it down, but it definitely stung me!

Your not getting it. Since every AMEX you open will report as opened from your 'member since' date, opening more cards will increase your AA.

You need to check FICO reports fore your AAoA. Unless it recently changed closed accounts are still counted in AAoA.

+1
They only fall off after 10 years of being closed.
My guess is, that CK doesn't count closed accounts, which is why it had such a big effect on their score.
Use Barclay or Discover or a denied app to see what your real score is.

My FAKO didn't change much but I remembered my AAOA being higher. My barclays fico as of 11.10 is 802. The card account is still on my report. Not sure what fell off if anything.

Right i forgot about that.

Actually, I was thinking, do AU cards also stay on your report after they close? (My guess: No. When you remove an AU, it should be like it was never on your report, so when the card is closed, your'e not an AU anymore)
Is there anyone that could confirm?

My AU accounts disappeared when I was removed as an AU.

dont think your correct on this one. Back when I just started this game I had one bank that wouldn't approve me bc I was an AU on my fathers card that had a CL larger than my income. Once he removed me as an AU it fell off of my account.
