Is it actually different online ?
Just pulled Experian for my wife and it says late payment 1.6 years ago. I have zero recollection of letting a payment go that long...how do i find out what it was and is there anyway to have it removed?
You can dispute it on their website
The report should say which account it was on. You can call the bank to inquire or look at statements from that period (you should be able to access them online.) The bank may agree to remove it even if it was legitimate. You can also try disputing it with EX. They took one off for me that was 10 years old, no problem.
It doesn't say it. Under "Reports" it just says Negative InformationAccounts Ever Late1Accounts In Collections0Time Since Negative1.6 year(s)
It doesn't Tell you what the negative was?
Nope. And by the dispute page it asking me for my report number. Another thing i can't find.
Nowhere here.
Did you pull it up through a credit card ?
Huh? No went to experian.comOk I found out it was a chase card. Can I SM? FYI account has since been closed (and probably churned 5x lol)
Sure you can SM. But you should check the statements online first to see what exactly happened.
Account was closed for over a year. No way of me checking that info online.
Why? I can see the statements of my closed cards online.
Doesn't the card go off after several months ?
Maybe. I've only had closed Chase's for a few months. How about yours?
