Dan who?
There is only one person on DDF named Dan
I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

Earlier this year my score was around 750 and I got instantly approved for a bunch of cards.
It took a dip over the summer & now it's back up to 775 (according to the tracker on Barclays), but I never seem to get instantly approved anymore. Anyone have any insight why?

It's not all your score.
It's inquiries, amount of credit and number of cards you already have and how many cards you recently opened, especially with the bank you're applying from. It also depends on the income you claim to make.
None of the above factor has any effect on you credit score. (Aside from inquiries, which have a very small effect)

True. I did miss that. It's still a minor effect on the numerical score.

Or if you have one of those currently open you could check in your account.

But only Transunion
Workflowy. You won't know what you're missing until you try it.

The image is a screenshot of my discover FICO.
1. Why does it say my history is short? I am an AU on an account about 20 years old.
2. Anyone know if there's a cheap and simple way to add installment accounts on my report?

Thanks

Buy a car?
Go to college?
Both great ideas. I could also buy a house, but that's only suitable for someone who would do so anyway.
I don't intend to buy a car in the near future nor am I going to college. (And no, I won't do either just to improve my score :) )

2. If you know someone who has an old/cheap car that's paid off and he will let you have it on your name you can take a loan on it and pay it off after 2-3 months...
