Same day layover trip reports NYC-TLV/TLV-NYC

Bouchurim heading back to yeshiva in Israel  always ask me what they can do on a same day layover in a specific city, and not always can I answer them as I personally have only done a couple of them.
As I'm sure many of you have had such a experince in the past, post  your NYC-TLV/TLV-NYC same day layover TR here.

I understand and you are right, but most TR's are for trips that have been done over more than one day and for someone making a 12 hour stop in Zurich that is a very popular layover and most ppl don't post one day TR's, I would be nice to hear what ppl have actually done so others can do it with confidence without worrying about missing the connection.

Actually, interesting you mention Zurich.  Because in the Zurich thread specifically, you''ll find what others have done there in a layover (including what I myself have summarized).

Lol, very true. He pointed out the one city I know off hand that there is stuff as well.

But don't look at Trip Reports, rather look at the City's Master Thread. TR are based off a whole trip but the Master Thread is a mix of TR and ideas of stuff to do.

What a Galitzyaner, i guess you have a point, maybe there should be some type of wiki bringing together all layover trips so it makes it easier for ppl to decide where to do the stop in the first place.

Read through that thread and learn from other people's mistakes. If that doesn't work I hear Rosetta Stone is pretty good.

i can tell you that tlv-jfk are great stops, but i find that for jfk-tlv its not as great as you are generally tired.

In personal experience I found it hard to find tlv-nyc flights with a full day stop, but your right about the nyc-tlv but that second leg was the only flights that I would ever get sleep.

I just had a day stopover (landed 9am departed 11pm) in WAW. See the Poland Master Thread for my TR of the layover.

Just had a 6 hour layover in Milan on my way to JFK. Bought into a lounge for about $40.

I did Amsterdam years ago. Enjoyed walking around, stopping into a cafe (I didn't participate) and going to the Anne Frank house.
