Galaxy S 4 refurb offered from at&t
« on: August 14, 2013, 09:29:32 PM »
Disclaimer: I did search for the following question, before moving on to post.

Just a few days ago (from what I have noticed), at&t began offering the Samsung Galaxy S(R) 4 Refurb as an upgrade option. The price is $29 vs. the $199 for the new Galaxy S 4, which is obviously a sharp price difference.

From what I understand refurbished phones offered by at&t are covered by a 90 day warranty vs. the year warranty for new phones, but even so I'm strongly inclined to go for the refurb.

From the at&t website: "AT&T Certified Like-New Device
An independently tested and reconditioned pre-owned phone with at least a 90-day warranty. Good as new and good for the environment. "

What are your thoughts?

I've bought refurbished from the phone company before.  Only had a problem once and they switched the phone for me.

Go for it. Refurbish now means customer returns, barely used. The S4 was just released so how old can it be? Plus at&t really puts it through a full inspection process. But make sure even a small problem, you exchange it right away.
