I have t-mobile. Good i popped up today (maybe)

1. Terrible service. Especially in brooklyn.
even if the map says service - its very weak and doesnt catch once it loses, only good service right next to the tower (you'll figure out exactly where the towers are) and not only in brooklyn btw - ask around...
Don't let you roam on at&t - no roaming only option or anything like that - i guess if theres no coverage it will but customer service hasnt been able to ever help me roam, they dont really want to - maybe i'll call again and push more

2. but customer service is terrible. I've been with verizon sprint at&t and tmobile. they are by far the worst.
cant get anything out of them, they dont really want to help with anything, a few times retentions offered me stuff which didnt happen - discounts, free equipment...
its a waste of time to call them.
i often change my plan if im using more minutes, and its always a fight for them to backdate it for the whole month not the following one, even though they do it every time (for example)

3. But... Is there a way i can switch my plan to this? they switched me to real bad plan - last i checked its the best they had.

And also - if anyone wants to take over a line on my plan for the next 6 months (or less) i would be incredible indebted. (right place for this?)

Can't you roam on AT&T?

Did you try speaking to their cancellation department?  At some point they were offering $50 for unlimited voice for existing customers (longer than a year , I think).

i speak with them all time.

i've asked about roaming before, i think they just always would try to send me to technical support, or to get a new phone (b/c they know i was buying loads of smartphones from them and now i use a pretty dumb phone), or get a wifi phone & router (once offered for free but didnt go through).

i said i'll call again and see when i have a chance.

they wouldnt give me the $50 one i tried.

Have you tried to convince them to waive the ETF?

a million times
for every reason

btw they raise the regulatory fee (i think it is) every few months - google it

and i even switched my plan to a "no contract" plan, people were having success leaving their contracts, but no success, all it does is forfeit my upgrade eligability and im still stuck.

and they wont let me switch back, they dont offer that plan anymore. whatever - i've speant a lot of time.

i was thinking to call them a bunch of times a day till they drop me. and i heard if you curse them out on the phone they drop you. or maybe to cancel and get the collection taken off my credit - but probably not guranteed so no.

you want to try? its costing me close to $100 a month besides what the other people are paying. but i really dont think you'll get anywhere.

No thank you, I don't want to try.

Have you tried BBB, FCC, FTC etc. complaints? Those would raise the heat and if you stated that you'd drop your complaint if they waived the ETF then they'll probably capitulate. Just be sure to specify you want to port your number so that they don't cancel your account before you initiate the port.

Yes.

As per Google: FCC, FTC (and/or here) and BBB.

Try a simpler solution (that will probably take less phone calls...):
Choose a plan from a different carrier that you like. Call their sales dept. and negotiate with them that they will cover your etf if you move to them.
pay tmobile's etf with that money.

I think shuls (and other public places) should have faraday cases.

Don't let yeshivas find out about these...
Probably cost too much anyway.

upstairs no service.

i used to live on ep - no service at home.

Yeah, they're currently cost-prohibitive AFAIK, but I meant it ideally.
