Points when paying before statement

I searched for this but didn't find anything.

If I pay my charges before I get my statement (the day the charge posts), do I still get the points?

Of course you do get them.

You get them. Unless you pay your statement with a credit (i.e. bought something at walgreens and returned something at cvs)

IME you get your points, but they won't post until your normal cycle of receiving points.  Just because you pay early doesn't mean you get your points early.
