It worked for me at the Roku LXR in Kyoto, but not sure if it’ll be the same for other locations in Japan. I would just ask them to see if they’d allow the reservation to be checked in via 2nd guest. Doesn’t hurt to try!

It’ll be tough to find all 3 that doesn’t expire until November, but may as well try regardless! I would definitely advise looking alittle later, but could impact the hotel availability if it’s a location that runs out quickly.

Thank you so much! We have two adults and one child, but i realize with the second guest check in that would mean the hotel sees there are 4 people total assigned to the room, which will exceed room limits in Japan.

Did you have only two people in your party total (so that the hotel sees 3 total people?)

Has anyone checked-in as a 2nd guest in Huvafen Fushi Maldives?

I've swapped a night I had booked with points for someone else's FNC yesterday and received the following message from the hotel

"For Huvafen Fushi, please be advised that check-in is strictly reserved for registered Hilton members only. Bookings made on behalf of non-members, including friends and family, are not permitted.

If the registered member is not present at the time of check-in, the reservation will not be honored."

I mean, it seems pretty clear that they’re pretty strict and although it doesn’t specifically state that you can’t check in as a secondary guest, I wouldn’t want to risk it and experience it first hand.

We did only have two people in total, however, we did note that it will be us checking in rather than the primary guest, as they weren’t able to make it anymore.
