If true, this is possibly the worse deval in our hobby since... ever.

Especially if the other major US carriers follow suit.

Interesting question in FT.

"One interesting way to fight this... Isn't this a violation of the FCRA if you just got a Citi AA card like myself? I was promised Award Travel along certain terms (and I think I've seen Citi material marketing it with no fuel surcharges) and I have had the card for less than a year, effectively the terms of this deal have changed, illegally I might add. Might make more sense to have the hordes go after Citi, who has a hell of a lot more bargaining power than than the widely dispersed collective of AAdvantage members. Obviously this would require a lot of tracing thru Citi's terms, but I for one believe that anger directed at Citi might have more of an effect to have AA backtrack on this. After all those LHR gates and a partner (and lender) who will spend 100's of millions of $ a year on miles is pretty important to have on your good side."

Anyone remember if the Citi T&Cs mentioned this?

I don't see how they don't in the medium-term.

Which is probably just a matter of time.
The only option left is to stick with South American airlines.

שטויות, the Citi T&C clearly says the AAdvantage program may change at any time.

You know whats funny.

I know most of you are going to say you can't compare, but...

When it comes to a 60K Ink bonus the blogs were flying, but when it comes to this only Gary and Lucky have posted about it.

IMO it shows....

It's news that you can't skip on it.

@AJK, don't you think that with a class action Lawsuit they'll give in?

I mean, this has to stop by all means... There is no reason UA and DL shouldn't follow suit if this goes through quietly. If AA will get hassled by a suit, even if they'll win, it'll take away the appetite of the other airlines to follow.

If I'm not going to break the news I'd rather get it right.
Is there going to be YQ on AA? Which airlines does this apply to?

There will be plenty of time to write to the DoJ once we know what we're dealing with.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

Agree, but this HUGE HUGE if it happens. Lucky already wrote 2 articles on this, when most of the others probably didn't realize anything happened yet.

All I am saying, IMO it shows who is more dedicated to what.

You're different as your focus is mainly on deals and shtick, while BA is a Travel industry related website.

Again, this all IMO.

Per the memo there is going to be YQ even on AA int'l flights.

I'd recommend you call AA reservations, and ask them to read you todays memo, so you can copy that exactly, which means you can't go wrong with that.
