Thanks OP.

We had great flight experience b"h especially for the price we paid ($380)! On the way to TLV we were supposed to stop in Zurich for 5 hours, but the fight had mechanical problems so they just put us all on the direct flight PHL-TLV even though we would most probably not miss the connection.
All in all we have to applaud USAirways, they have great service!
The flight from EWR-PHL was actually fun, an experience we really enjoyed.

Getting home from PHL was a DISASTER on Thanksgiving eve! Took over 5 hours using mostly NJ transit trains. Amtrack tickets ran for $171 and up. I guess it was a mistake to come home on a date like that, but you live and learn.

All in all AFTER a good nights sleep I can honestly say this trip was WELL WORTH its money!

BH. we are here in israel. all fl8ghts went pretty well. only anjoying thing is the ZRH-TLV leg was elal flight codeshared swiss. so I couldnt get A3 mules for it.

returning , if there are agents. I can just tell them that I didnt pay for carousel side checkin. no thank you

Hi guys just wanted to tell you of our experience. we are leaving in 2 months and I noticed that some people here had success with HUCA'ing I figured i'll try. My itinerary was to leave from LGA to PHL to TLV. I had gotten an email a couple of weeks ago moving my departure time from LGA to 15 minutes later which would leave us with just 52 minutes to catch our PHL flight.
I called US Airways and told them I am worried we would miss the flight and they dropped the first leg of our trip without any hassle at all on the first try!

I have 1 hour and a half in PHL between flights, I'm nervous if we're delayed, we'll be stuck. I'm not sure if we should put up a fuss and ask to be switched to earlier flight or skip first leg. I don't mind driving to PHL.
I am going on Chanukah and if I go earlier will have a problem with Menorah lighting.

Not sure if this option for getting the LGA leg cancelled has been mentioned yet. After striking out with US air a few times a friend of mine called Orbitz and after putting him on hold for 25 min or so, SUCCESS!! they dropped the LGA leg.

just arrived in Israel today.

here is a short report as how it went for us. we had a 6:00 pm flight from ewr-phl. the flight left on time and got to phl before 7:00. the transfer shuttle is about a 5 minute walk from the gate we arrived at, and takes you to terminal A. the ride itself is about 7 minutes and from where it drops you off to the tlv flight is maybe about 12 min walk. all in all we were at the tlv gate at about 7:30 and we did not rush at all.

the shuttle is really all in the secure area and there is no need to do security again. that is unless your going on the phl-tlv flight. that flight has a special gate that is enclosed and you need to be re-screened. but it really didnt take us long.

was on the 7:15 flight on the 15th out of LGA called USair no go, so I called Orbitz and was told cant drop the LGA PHL leg, but they moved me to an earlier flight.

Smooth for me.
Took the $8 3-stop train to 30th Street Station. Very close. Not a hassle.
Took Amtrak to Penn Station.
Took a 3 (2 is good too) to Atlantic Avenue station.
Took a taxi from there because transferring to the D in the station wasn't an option because there is no elevator in the BP stations.

Would do it again.

So per person transportation from Philly was 8+53(could have been $39)+2.50+6=$69.50.
Not bad at all.
