Can i upgrade a US air ticket with the 40k + 300$ with someone elses account? The rep said i can... but what do they know

im flying to YYZ, simple math for me shows that flying to yyz and then yyz to mia is worth 20k miles as opposed to skipping yyz and flying phl - mia

I think that's how it works. I know delta won't let you change the FFN once you put it in online, they tell you that you have to do it in the airport.

I changed the LGA-PHL flight for someone (had too a short connection) they did it without fuzz and it took less then 5 minutes (2 weeks out)

Ok so I flew back from TLV and got off at PHL yesterday morning. Yesterday at night i looked up my flight status and all it said was TLV-PHL status FLOWN and the PHL-YYZ wasnt even on the itinerary at all.

However today I checked and it said TLV-YYZ Status CANCELED.

Meanwhile only my flight from phl-tlv was credited to united as of today.

Anyone know what I should make out of this?

Flying on sun. Feb. 2 from EWR I just realized that the Super Bowl is taking place down the road. Is there any chance that they would let me drop the first leg and start in PHL?
