THANKS NETZIH!!

I am still looking for data points as to whether people skipping the flight to YYZ will get partner credit. I believe the earliest flights available in this deal were in November (although if I'm wrong and people were already able to take some of those flights, please correct me), so I assume we'll have to wait until mid-to-late November for the brave individuals who chance it to educate the rest of us.

1) Don't credit your miles to United. There have been many reports of United miles being clawed!

Fake US Airways Email Directed To Orbitz TLV-YYZ Deal

I received an email from reservations@myusairways.com that looked very legit. Had all of my info, confirmation number etc. The email was regarding the trip on orbitz to israel that was running end of August. It freaked me out cuz it said if I miss any leg of my flight I don't get any miles. It's spam and I thought id give everyone a heads up.

i got the email its not spam they obviously realize that people aren't planning on using all the legs of the trit and are not happy about it, why would someone spam you with such a message???

It says if you miss any leg of your flight the entire flight will be canceled - which means you need to keep to the itinerary as planned (you cant catch a flight halfway through, like booked from BOS to Philadelphia and pick up the flight in Philadelphia)

It also says if you dont complete the entire itinerary (you dont take the last leg to Canada) you forfeit  all miles you would have earned on the flight.

There is no way for an airline to charge your card after a flight without authorization!

I am just wondering if they will figure out a way to not give luggage out on the stopover in Philadelphia (on way to Canada), but cant image they ever will be able to

myusairways is owned by us airways as you can see their registration below, when people spam they are trying to get info from you this email is just letting you know information with the option to cancel you reservation.

My theory was that they're appealing to people's emotions, they ask for a phone number and people cancel so as not to lose the miles. Then they call you to confirm and ask you to verify your cc number. Maybe I'm crazy. I guess if you checked that they own the domain name then I guess I'm wrong.

You may be right with some scenarios but not with this they have to much info on you to start.

You're right I was surprised how much info they had but assumed they hacked orbitz. I guess I'm paranoid. So what do we do? I don't wanna not earn my miles.
