THANKS NETZIH!!

I am still looking for data points as to whether people skipping the flight to YYZ will get partner credit. I believe the earliest flights available in this deal were in November (although if I'm wrong and people were already able to take some of those flights, please correct me), so I assume we'll have to wait until mid-to-late November for the brave individuals who chance it to educate the rest of us.

1) Don't credit your miles to United. There have been many reports of United miles being clawed!

Just a heads up:
Tickets are non-cancelable after the 24 hours or whatever are up. Change fee is $300 + fare difference, so if this "sale" isn't still going on when you want to cancel, it is very likely that you will have to pay $300 plus whatever the cost is for a regular ticket at the time

can get a "cancel for any reason" insurance for around 100$ per ticket...
still pretty cheap, and minimizes risk imho

Another point. US will probably close any of their own FF accounts that try to credit these flights to them, as I'm sure they're not going to be happy about this. (That is if you don't take the last leg)
