At the moment it’s possible to find round trip flights to most European cities for ~$400. Flights are not restricted to online airline and all three of the major airline alliances. The other thing to keep in mind is that these fares are not restricted to a specific travel portal either, so you should be able to use points/offers to book these fares.

mentioned on the main site for the card offer it needs to be a BA flight. you can book a BA flight and then call them within 24 hours change it to the AA flight at no extra charge as long as the original fare is the same.
