According to Dan: The nights post within a week of spending, regardless of statement close.
They expire 12-13 months from posting and can typically be extended by 1 more month by emailing Hyatt.

Best offer out there for now: (Thanks DoGo!)
Go to Hyatt.com make a reservation, click book, and before cc page you will see offer for card with the 2 free nights PLUS $50 statement credit. Looks something like this

Anniversary nights appear in account before annual fee posts.

well u know sapphire transfers to hyatt so u can use thos points to book hotel nights

I see Sapphire (thanks to 80K from other post) would get me barely 2 nights. I assume I would have resort fee as well. Would hate to blow it but good to know...

But if I blow it, can I use my parents (if they get approved) account to make reservation for myself?

Not that simple, but in a pinch they are.

It is easier to transfer from Someones Sapphire account to someone elses Hyatt account (same last name)?

Hyatt points are officially transferable:

I see once I transfer points over to Hyatt, they're valued less to transfer back to miles. I have a trip in January to Kauai and trying to get Hyatt Card (just did trifecta with credit freeze and they have had it with me for now). At the same time, don't want to wait until last minute to make reservation. When would you say I should play it safe by and transfer Sapphire points to Hyatt and not risk missing reservation opportunity?

I'm thinking trifecta with a credit freeze might result in three inquires (since they are pulled manually), what was your experience like?

Play it safe? How long does it take to transfer Sapphire to Hyatt? I'd figure it's pretty quick, no?

You may be able to get Hyatt to book an award res. without enough points in your account by calling them...

I got one pull but they tore apart by credit report and it was painful. I ended up geeting 2 out of 3 but they were done with me. Might need to give them 6 month break which will cut it close with KAuai trip. Do I just play it safe and book now and worse comes to worse I have extra 44K in account? It's not like they expire, do they? Waht would you do?

They won't hold it for me without points. Did it work for you? Should I just call back and get another operator?

They tore up your new (post-freeze) report without knowing about the inquiries on the old (pre-freeze) report?

I mean the totally disected it and scrutinized like they never did on my Experian report. I guess they realize that more people are freezing accounts because how ofthen are they pulling a TU report in NJ.

You didn't give me your advice on my trip???

Have they pulled an Experian report in the past 12 months? If yes, did they mention anything from that report when they reviewed these apps?

I was wondering if when they decline you because of a recent chase app is that based on their own internal check or based on your report?
