Thanks. And I already paid off any charges from this period, but the statement isn't due to cut until next week. Will I still get the points for all charges during this period? Even 3ppd for Hyatt charges?

No. Change your statement date to cut earlier.

So the question is, is it worth the $75 fee to me knowing that in the future I may not be able to get this card again if the 5/24 goes into affect. Hyatt and Marriott annual fees are coming up, may or may not need the free annual night. Though I guess I could probably sell the night for more than the annual fee if not using them...

Think I'll try some Chase cards I don't already have, and pay the 1 year fee on the Hyatt and wait it out for a year to see if the 5/24 happens.

Changed my statement date but when I go to account details online, it still says the old date. Is that normal?

If i close my hyatt visa card now how long until they take away my platinum status. I only have the stTus due to the credit card.

Just closed my Hyatt card and planning on re-applying for it in 30 days. But want to make sure I am eligible for bonus with 24 month rule. Is the date of the email that says that my award certificates are on their way enough to rely on? I see that I received that email on 3/11/14. Am I safe to apply for the new card on let's say 3/15/16?
