According to Dan: The nights post within a week of spending, regardless of statement close.
They expire 12-13 months from posting and can typically be extended by 1 more month by emailing Hyatt.

Best offer out there for now: (Thanks DoGo!)
Go to Hyatt.com make a reservation, click book, and before cc page you will see offer for card with the 2 free nights PLUS $50 statement credit. Looks something like this

Anniversary nights appear in account before annual fee posts.

IMHO Ritz > Southwest, unless you want the companion pass.

Why not close the SP and get a new one? You can still get co-branded CCs even after 5/24...

Not for too much longer though.. I personally wouldnt risk closing the SP & hoping to get approved again later on. Depends how much use & benefits you get out of the card.

How long after the card anniversary do Hyatt anniversary nights post to the account? The fine print says 4-6 weeks, but in practice, how long does it actually take? I'm waiting to close the card after it posts, so the sooner the better, but want to know what to expect.

Good to know - thanks!

Do I get an email letting me know they've posted, or do I have to manually check each day to see if they're there?

If I call Chase, will they be able to confirm that I'll get the bonus when I hit the spend? Churned the card and I reapplied right after 24 months passed so want to make sure. Or should I just spend and hope for the best?

DP: Spend posted on the 25th and sign up nights posted to Hyatt account this morning. No email. Though I find the emails have been delayed (happened with anniversary nights a month and a half ago).

My spend posted on the 28th. I received the free nights last night. (No email). However after I booked one free night online, my account now shows 0 free night awards left. Has this happened to anyone? They're CS is insane-i spent 40 mins.on the phone trying to get to a rep and then I got disconnected. :-\

I know its a bit late but I thought the rule with chase was that as long as you are approved you will get the bonus. Only amex will approve you and not give you the bonus
