According to Dan: The nights post within a week of spending, regardless of statement close.
They expire 12-13 months from posting and can typically be extended by 1 more month by emailing Hyatt.

Best offer out there for now: (Thanks DoGo!)
Go to Hyatt.com make a reservation, click book, and before cc page you will see offer for card with the 2 free nights PLUS $50 statement credit. Looks something like this

Anniversary nights appear in account before annual fee posts.

But the standard rooms at PHV cost 22,000 Hyatt points and the Park Suite (which is the one I believe you get for the Chase Hyatt as a Diamond) cost 33,000. So shouldn't I be able to upgrade for the difference?

Well in that case, I need some expert advise. I am planning on going to Paris in August and would like to stay at PHV. I also would like to stay in a suite and be eligible for the continental kosher breakfast. Problem is that I am not Hyatt diamond. I have Gold at Hilton and my guess is that I could get a challenge from Hyatt but I know that I wont meet the challenge. So if I get the challenge now and then get the card, I get the suite but no breakfast. If I wait until before my trip to get the challenge, I get the breakfast but no suite.   Any ideas?

Reports have been coming in from DDF members that they are no longer giving kosher breakfasts

That's not true, they're just not as luxurious as they once were.

If you book a stay while you're diamond and arrange for breakfast in advance you should be good.

Thanks Dan. So I think I'm gonna go for the Diamond challenge now using my Hilton Gold. Hopefully I can lock in the suite and the breakfast now!!

Just checked into the Hyatt 48 Lex using my annual Cat. 1-4 free night.

Unreal value for a cat 4.

Was reserved into a "studio king," but shmoozed my way into an upgrade to a corner suite, one step below their penthouse.

For those that have stayed in the Andaz 5th, this hotel--to us--is strikingly similar to that hotel.

Excellent redemption of the cat 1-4 hotel, IO(ur)HO.

...and the redemption just got better.

Just logged into my HGP account and noticed I still have my cat 1-4 anniversary night! Best $75 spent. Ever.
